Having finished my virtual trek to Petra and virtually re-entered Egypt (and crossed the Sinai Penninsula) on my Virtual African Loop (VAL), it was time to start a new synchronous Conqueror challenge: Giza Pyramids!
I was still on my cruise as I got started, so although this isn’t a terribly long-distance challenge, it would take me a bit longer than usual to complete.
At present it seems that the cruise lines aren’t visiting Egypt proper on their itineraries (so I’m guessing there are some restrictions still in place, possibly COVID-related, though unrest or sanctions would also cause cruise lines to bypass a location). But heck yeah, I did look to see if any of The Deals included this locale. Because as usual, I want to SEE the places these virtual challenges give me a taste of.
