Virtual AT: NC/TN border

I’ve “reached” a long section of the virtual Appalachian Trail route in the Smoky Mountains, where I’ll be criss-crossing the North Carolina-Tennessee border for quite a ways.

I’m approaching Clingmans Dome – which may or may not actually be accessible from the AT. There’s a road that goes almost to the AT for this scenic outlook and Google has an image of it…
