The postcard describes Jaipur as the Pink City…
The beautiful “Pink City” of Jaipur was the first planned city in India. It was established in 1727 - making it relatively young when compared to Old Delhi and Agra – when the Mughal empire was already in decline.
There’s more of course, but that’s the little flavor of it I’ll share today.
Even so… history is fascinating sometimes, yeah?
Now if you’ll excuse me, there’s still a lot of miles to cover. I’m just barely past the 60% mark on this one.
