Travels Revisited: New Jersey

Every July, in Whitehouse Station NJ, the NJ Festival of Ballooning takes place.

I’ve been twice. I went up in a balloon both times.

But the first time was my favorite.

It’s so still and quiet (until the propane is fired, that’s loud).

And if you are at the correct angle to the sun on a clear day, all the other balloons look like Christmas ornaments, brightly colored and joyously decorating the sky.
