At the 50% mark on virtual Côte d’Azur, my placemarker puts me squarely in the center of Cannes.
You know, as in the site of the famous film festival I’ll never be remotely A-list enough to attend (and honestly, aside from the joy of going somewhere new, that’s just as well).
I went through this list of 70 “top” Cannes winners and to my recollection I have seen three of them. I’d heard of seven of them.
Hmmm. Yeah. Embarrassing.
Still, it’s a famous film festival in a famous place that’s on a famously gorgeous stretch of the world. I’d go, if invited.
Heck, I might go uninvited (but of course, not during the invitation-only film festival, in that case)
