It’s official – I’ve made it to virtual Botswana on The Longest Route.
I’ve identified a couple of recipes to try, but also there’s some overlap in meal potential. (Which makes sense because very often country borders have been set arbitrarily, and people groups and cultures are often more fluid than these conceptual divisions would have us imagine. Certainly when similar ingredients tend to be available one would anticipate similar foods based on them.)
So for example, Malva pudding which Miss (I) gave me a recipe for in South Africa, is also a thing in Botswana.
Still I hope to make seswaa in the coming days. More to come!
