At 95% of the way along the virtual Pacific Crest Trail, I’ve reached the North Cascades.
When I drove the Pacific Northwest IRL a few years ago, I got just a little taste of the Cascades. It’s absolutely beautiful country. Highly recommend!
With less than 126 miles left to pedal before I reach the end of this virtual challenge, I’ll almost certainly- God willing – finish this up before year’s end.
It’s progress and that feels good – but I really miss seeing things for real.
When I used to travel I used to do it almost greedily, as if there was a deadline. Little did I know.
I hope one day we’ll be able to do so again. But even if that never happens (please don’t be so) I am so thankful for all the beautiful things I’ve seen and the wonderful people I’ve met along the way.
I miss seeing hints of the beauty of the Creator through the created. But the beauty still exists. May we show that to one another, in each little way we can.
