It was a few days before Christmas when we pulled into the port in Thailand, from whence we would visit Bangkok and the palace area.
Our day in Thailand was hot and steamy and bright.
It was hard to think about what we might be missing back home, in the happy gatherings of Christmas, when Christmas back home feels so different in every way.
The temples were beautiful and glittering.
There was a massive crush of people in the palace area that day.
Every day.
It is hard to fathom such things, after the last 18 months.
I’m so glad I have that memory now.
