As I mentioned, I recently extended my African Loop to include a few ancient cities in the Middle East, raising the total distance by about 1000 miles and my daily distance goal by 1 more mile a day.
Because I can work a spreadsheet in much the same way I can work a list, I also added a little calculator to my daily tracking, so I can see how often I’m meeting that new goal.
Retrospective to the start of this trek, some 162 days ago (as I write this)… I’ve hit that new goal a nice even 100 of those days.
By enough of a margin that I’m still ahead of my pace marker.
So, artificial goals met, more often than not.
