A bright spot

My parents finally got appointments for their vaccines.

It’s nowhere near here, but if they actually get their shots, that will be so great. It’s no guarantee against new strains that can only keep emerging the longer we don’t contain this thing, but it’s a greater measure of protection for them.

I’m thankful for this much progress.

I’m thankful that more options are coming online all the time.

I’m hopeful we may see a more normal future.
