I’m still slowly approaching Portland and then the Columbia River Gorge. It’s a long way, and more so “on foot”.
But an interesting thing happened when I popped into the map today.
I passed myself headed two different directions.
I mean, no, I didn’t really. But my current virtual position headed north to Portland is nicely lined up with my still-southbound pace marker, headed down the Oregon coast.
Which mostly means I have overestimated the time I would need for this trek. Or haven’t adjusted it as my daily distances crept up, anyway.
Even so. Such a tidy alignment seemed worth noting.
