I had a birthday

As people do, roughly once a year.

It was some days ago, now. But it was a nice day…

I spoke to friends I rarely do, and heard from friends I rarely see, and saw a friend, and spent an evening with my family.

In these days when so much is weird and different and difficult and unpleasant, it was a truly delightful day!

The cake my sister & niece made me was SO delicious. This is not it. Also we did no candles because one ought not blow all over the place, let alone on other people’s food, in a pandemic.

  2. Last Saturday, one of my coworkers had a birthday party. I went and it was really great to get to know them in a non-work setting. I can assure you, it will not be the last time I go out with them.
