A great weight has been lifted off my shoulders…

… and fallen to the floor…

… in the form of a great mass of hair.

My friend came and cut it for me. So now…

It’s not quite so simple to just braid it all up out of the way.

I can no longer use my hair to tie up my hair.

But I also no longer need to.

I can no longer brush my wet hair forward, fresh out of the shower, and look almost exactly like Cousin It.

I am no longer in danger of thwapping myself in the face with my own hair, with a stray movement.

In short, a great weight has been lifted.

I quite literally feel light-headed.

It was such a relief.

(And for a few minutes, such a mess. Ha!)
