Managing the menu

So, trying to plan out meals for one comes with its challenges. And then, also, there’s trying to create variety, and also manage waste by using up what’s on hand.

So of course now I keep a new list!

It’s a cooking ideas plan. So when I get a passing thought of Greek food or maybe empanadas but still have a fridge full of dirty rice, I can jot it down for when I need ideas for an upcoming week.

Or if my friend mentions something she’s having, or reminds me of something I haven’t made in a while, it can go on the list.

Or when I remember something I have in the freezer that could otherwise get out of sight and mind, it’s on the list. And y’all know how I can work a list!
