… when so much of life is disrupted, as we do what we can to protect ourselves, our loved ones, our neighbors and elders from the Covid-19 outbreak…
I so appreciate voices that remind us all to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation and think about what we can do to help (from staying in, to helping neighbors etc) — as well as voices that remind us to approach things in a larger context.
- Itinerary Planner on Travel Itineraries reminds us to laugh – and that there’s an even greater and more widespread illness to address.
- John Pavlovitz reminds us that these challenges give us opportunities to live our faith and love our neighbors.
- Heather Holleman reminds us to respond to these times and one another with love.
I’m so grateful for these and others (including family and friends) who help me keep my perspective.
And also, if you think you’ll be fine and so you’re still not taking any steps to try to slow the spread, try to remember that steps you take to avoid spreading the disease could save someone you know. Or someone you don’t know. Someone’s mom, dad, grandma, grandpa.
So go out stay in there and be a hero!
And also, wash your hands.
