Thankful in this quiet moment, resting in the space between the traditional meal and dessert.

Thankful for this time with my mom and dad. Thankful for them.

Thankful for all of my family, and all of my families. (An above-average number of which are in New Jersey at the moment. )

Thankful for dear ones all over this country, and friends made far and wide, remembered afresh and with gratitude this day.

Thankful for all this love, just across the room, and across the miles, across states, across the world. This one beautiful world.

Thank you, Lord.
